- I am a Melbourne based photographer and a Mum of two spirited and amazing little people. I am a quiet observer. Seeing and capturing genuine moments makes my heart sing.
When I first received an email from this gorgeous family inquiring about a session to photograph their little boy and their soon to be baby twin girls, my heart did a little dance. I haven’t yet had the opportunity to photograph twins so needless to say, I was a just bit excited to meet these beautiful bundles of cherubic goodness!
Have you ever imagined a home, nestled amongst towering leafy gums, with space to run for you and your little ones (and a hound plus a brood of chooks!), with fruit trees fresh for the picking, overlooking paddocks of galloping horses, and only a short drive from Melbourne’s inner city suburban buzz?
Doesn’t exist right?
Well, for this beautiful family of four it does and I was lucky enough to be asked to capture some memories for them in an in-home family photo session earlier this year.
Robin is the mum of three beautiful boys, Jack, Charlie and Ollie. Her family is a blended family, that includes Dad/StepDad Troy.
The reason Robin’s family story stood out for me is that they are at the very beginning of their long journey in treating 8 year old Ollie’s recently diagnosed Acute Lymphoblastic Luekemia.
This adventure has been a long time coming….
It was almost six months ago that I came across a post on a fellow photographers portfolio that made me stop in my tracks. She had shared a collection of photographs of beautiful mountain vistas, misty lakes and rugged rocky outcrops. I was compelled to scout down this location and plan a trip there, to explore this sanctuary with my little tribe.
I have been looking forward to this one for a while…
We first booked this family lifestyle session in October last year but the gorgeous little Maddie had a minor (‘major’) tooth injury, so we rescheduled to the start of the new year, and grateful for this I am!
Mother nature was blessing us with warm summer vibes, and the kids were relaxed and in true holiday spirit …
